There are very few things that irritate me more than when I am napping, and someone has the nerve to come over and wake me up. Very few things make me want to violently lash out more than being awoken from my slumbers by some douche bag who needs to tell me that he has to go to the bathroom. I was napping on this trip I was on because I had gotten a mere four hours of sleep the night before. There are always those people who have to chime in and say, "Oh yeah, well, I got less sleep than you, and you don't see me complaining about it." To those people I say, "Go to Hell. I am allowed to be tired if I didn’t sleep much and just because you won't admit that you're tired doesn't mean I'm not allowed to."
Anyway, I would close my eyes, and still, people kept coming over to me to talk. It seems like when you are trying to sleep, people find it more necessary to wake you up for the most mundane, unimportant details like: Hey, I dropped my book; or Hey, I can’t find my insulin, will you help me look for it; or Hey, your grandma just got hit by a semi, you have to call 911. I don't want to talk to anyone, for any reason when I am trying to sleep.
I was starting to get a little irritated, so I moved to another corner, and I finally got to sleep. Not five minutes later, a guy, I'm not going to say his name felt it necessary to come over and wake me up. I was livid. Have you ever noticed how the only time people come over to talk to you is when you are just about to fall asleep, so you have to start the whole "falling asleep process" over again? I hate that.
So, I'm coming back home from this trip in a vehicle, and I'm looking about the window. And I kept seeing signs for gas that costs $1.93 9/10. No. This is not allowed. That's like charging for something that doesn't exist. There is no such thing as a 1/10 of a cent. I can't walk into a gas station and demand my 1/10 change from the gallon of gas I just bought. Gas stations need to just put up the extra 1/10 on those giant signs. I'm already paying forty dollars to fill up a tank; I might as well pay a few extra tenths of a cent.
And, it isn't like only a few gas stations are the ones doing it. I’ve never seen a gas station that doesn't have a 9/10's added on, so if you did put on the other tenth it wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't hurt business. It would only decrease the annoyance of drivers who are filling up and, thus lead to a lowering of stress, thus causing lowered blood pressure, thus causing people to have less heart related problems. So as you can see, getting rid of the 9/10 of a cent would actually cause a drastic decrease in the number one leading killer of adults in America today. It's true. Look it up.
